I love this quote. I love it because it describes so many different scenarios and to me it speaks of how your reactions to any given situation may shape the outcome. No, I by no means think that an incurable disease will suddenly be cured, but I do think it can make your remaining time in this world, whether it be 5 or 50 years, a whole lot better. I believe that a positive attitude in any situation can really work toward shaping the outcome. I have accepted that I will not be an Olympic runner, as funny as it is for me to even imagine as a possibility, but I will also never give up on making a difference in this world. That includes when I have a bad day, picking myself up, dusting myself off and having faith that tomorrow will be better. “Just for today I will be happy. This assumes to be true what Abraham Lincoln said, that “most folks are as happy as they make up their minds to be”. Lots of love goes out to my mom for sharing this gem with me (one of the many that have helped to shape who I am). People have a choice to make everyday, I choose to be happy. Being anything else would just be too draining. Have a wonderful weekend ~ 💜
